Curly Sister is a collection of curated videos to help inspire people with wavy and curly hair to either learn to maintain and or style their hair in it’s natural state. It is an affirming space where people can get trustworthy professional advice to help them accept their hair without damage or harming their waves or curls. It is an ecosystem where people can join to learn about and be inspired by the variations in the world of wavy and curly hair.
Curly Sister is a Master Stylist training service that will provide video based education focused on wavy and curly hair, a skill set that is overlooked in beauty school and in stylist education. We will highlight stylists who have taken and or teach classes and help to raise awareness of their services. Our goal is to make this transition easier that it has been for many Wavies and Curlies in the past. We should all be empowered to understand our hair and have a choice to wear it how we wish! And if that wish is to wear your hair wavy or curly you will have the resources available and the stylist to support you to live a fabulous life.
Outside of living a fabulous wavy and curly life, our goal is to also build empowerment and continuing to grow curly and wavy communities. What I have noticed living in the curly world is that an emphasis is placed on products and not really how to truly maintain your hair. Most people do not know that moisture does not come from products, but it comes from WATER. Also, you may have found the holy grail of products, however if you do not know how to use them, the game is over and your hair will look like crap. Our goal is to help you to understand how to style your hair end to end and to have trained professionals to get you there! What have you learned from your stylist?
